UFC Vegas 24 event cancelled due to COVID-19

The latest fight to suffer because of the ongoing pandemic is none other than the A-lister match between reliable champs Ricardo Ramos and Bill Algeo, originally scheduled as part of the main card event for the upcoming UFC Vegas 24, set for this coming Saturday night.

The news of Ramos’ positive COVID-19 test splashed first via MMA Junkie this Thursday morning, putting an effective end to the featherweight fight between these two octagon proficients.

DrPPH Tip: Before signing up with your preferred PPH operator, make sure to spend at least a little time researching their particular odds offer for both Boxing, and the MMA/UFC fields. Though not all that terribly common, oftentimes we stumble with complaints by agents in regards to the scarcity of said odds, or even, a complete lack of any UFC market prices. You can make use of DrPPH’s exclusive rating system, which includes individual ratings for specific fields – such as the MMA odds variety –  when on your search for the BEST pay per head out there.

“Unfinished Business” & Whitaker vs Gastelum Odds

Ramos (25yo), aka the infected fighter, will miss out on his opportunity to “even” the score, and rebound from his previous mishap before Leone Murphy, who took him out on the octagon via decisive KO in July of the previous year.

As stated by Ramos to the folks at MMA Fighting: “The test came back positive, unfortunately… Thank God, I am fine and that’s what matters. I have no symptoms, but there’s nothing we can do.”

While the original lineup of the UFC Vegas 24 event has effectively changed after the cancellation, there’s no hint of any additional alterations occurring prior to Saturday’s event.

Upon our last checkup, the MAIN’ main card event, namely that of the fight between Robert Whitaker and Kelvin Gastelum, remains alive n’ kicking, with the former standing as the clear favorite with a -288 money line; on the other end, Gastelum is priced at +213, and the total is estimated at 4.5 rounds (over43).
