Host PPH Bookie Software Review

We gave HostPPH a 52 out of 100. A lot of this has to do with the fact that the website simply does not provide much at all in the way of meaningful information. We don’t know how much it costs; we don’t know what sports leagues are offered. We don’t know what casino games your clients could play; we don’t know which horse racing tracks they could access. It is necessary to call and talk to the sales staff to get that information.

You can, however, read on the HostPPH website about how competitive the company is within the industry, and how great their software is. There are plenty of $5 per head websites out there that provide a lot more detail about their offerings and seem to understand that agents shopping around for a platform want to get basic information without having to spend time on the phone.

PPH REVIEW DETAILS

Price 2/15 Points

The HostPPH website spends some time discussing how competitive it is with other platforms in the market, but if you want to get a look at some actual numbers, you have to call and get a quote. That’s fairly disappointing because most of the competition at least offers a starting dollar amount.

Promos 8/10 Points

HostPPH does have a couple of interesting promos. First, you can get a free trial period of up to four weeks, which does compensate for the lack of information about the features the platform offers. After a month, you should know whether you want to stick around with your betting clients. Also, if you refer a friend who puts his or her book on the platform as well, you get a free week.

Agent Admin 9/15 Points

On the HostPPH website, it indicates that signing up with their pay per head platform gives you access to the ability to control your players’ action on an individual level and manage their profiles, along with getting reports about daily and weekly activity. If one of your wagers gets unbalanced action, you can adjust the moneylines or point spreads accordingly.

Sportsbook 8/15 Points

When you sign up with a price per head platform, you want to make sure that your betting clients can put down wagers on such sports as hockey, baseball, pro and college basketball and football, soccer, UFC, tennis, golf and other events as well. So, when a platform such as HostPPH does not tell you what leagues they offer on their website (which they don’t), you will need to make sure to clarify that with their sales representatives.

Casino 5/10 Points

Why is casino gaming a must for pph sportsbook agents? Because you have to give that platform money each week for each client that you have, and that revenue needs to come from somewhere, right? So, the action that your betting clients take part in on the platform helps you out. It is not clear what casino games you can get on HostPPH from the website, but you want to make sure that your clients have access to live dealers with such games as poker, blackjack, slots, roulette and other basic casino games.

Horses 2/5 Points

As with some of the other value sportsbook platforms, HostPPH does not indicate how many tracks they will offer access to. You should expect at least 60 to be available in the United States and Canada. The top platforms -in terms of horse racing- offer as many as 120, but unless your sports betting clients are real horse racing aficionados, having 60-70 should satisfy the majority of them. Make sure you find out whether the price point, though, makes the number of available tracks worthwhile when you’re talking to the sales staff.

Call Center 5/10 Points

HostPPH is available by phone at (877) 644-4678. You can also reach out via live chat, although the feature was not live when this reviewer checked in, leaving just the opportunity to leave a message and wait for an email response. The site promotes its use of all English-speaking phone representatives. That does make dealing with customer service easier for most of your betting clients, but it is also a feature that is fairly standard in the pph sportsbook platform market.

Payment Methods 2/5 Points

HostPPH does not list the payment methods it takes on its website. Commonly accepted payment methods for price per head sportsbook platforms include wire transfer services like Western Union and MoneyGram, along with purchasable debit cards. Some platforms also work with PayPal and credit cards, but remember that most platforms that do take VISA and MasterCard also assess high transaction fees.

Mobile Friendliness 11/15 Points

Mobile optimization is crucial for a sports betting platform, because bettors don’t want to have to go to the desktop computer to manage their wagers – and neither do you as the agent. HostPPH seems to work well from the agent end from a smartphone, which suggests that the client end would work as well.
